Question Velcro vs latch kit

The glove box has already been opened and i'm trying to decide if it worth to get the latch kit (as the latch was broken to be opened) or Velcro, the trouble I'm having is how to get the Velcro to stick the rattle is annoying me and if this ? has been previously answered I apologize I've been trolling thru only a few posts so far.

Default glovebox

siren-well I messed around for quite a bit- finally got it to work to my liking. I wanted something a bit more finished than velcro and I wanted darn sure that the light stayed off. I attached a couple little metal tabs to the top of the opening, opened the door up and glued a couple of neodymium (REALLY strong) magnets inside the door, happened to have a few lying around.

That sucker stays shut like it means it and can still be opened easily.

Some new glovebox hardware would have been a lot easier- but I am one cheap something something something. Dave
