My Volvo 850 heater only works when it wants to and only on heat. Always on high, none of the temp controls work and can't shut it of unless I shut the car off and that only works sometimes. Please help, I'm roasting.

Do you have climate control or not?

If it is the automatic climate control and your car is a 94/95, you can check and see if there are codes in the system. If not, you will still be able to tell because he REC and SC lights will blink when you turn the system on.
