Volvo 850 non-turbo sedan key replication.
Hello all I am a 17 year old teenager who recently bought a 1994 Volvo 850 sedan, the dealer I bought it from only has one key, and the key is a very odd one, and I must make a few copies, Ive brought it to my local belltetes, but they cannot replicate it, it is a very odd key, and suggestions on what I should do to get a copy?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's a lazer cut key--at least that's what my 93 960 has-- none of the keyplaces I went to could make it, so I went to the dealer, gave them my Vin#, and about 2 days and $35.00 later I had me a nice new key. Pretty pricey, but it's a good motivation to not lose it.
^That's not as bad as the new cars...They have a chip inside and if you don't have the right key, you can't drive the car...
I think it's 90 dollars a replacement key (Toyotas), I'm sure the more luxurious brands such as Volvo would be a lot more...

My dealer gave me my laser cutting code. Then I went to a locksmith with a special computer to cut the key. It cost me 20 dollars for the main key and a valet key. The locksmith also told me he could copy the key without the code if the original key wasn't too worn out, but that obviously using the key code the copy was pèrfect.
Check out this bid, a bit expensive IMO, but this is what you are looking for.
