Thats it, after the 10 - 30 seconds of hard sputtering and coughing, it smoothes out and runs great?! Today I cleaned the idle/Air control valve thing and it seems a little better, but initially started the same way? I did just run seafoam through the gas prior to this issue where else can I look? This is getting annoying, lol..

 

your idle/air control valve could be bad. is there a way you could get one from a junk yard and swap it and see if that helps?

 

Did you have problems prior to the seafoam?

 

No problems like this prior to. Cleaning out the iac valve helped, but it's still happening, less rough of an idle than before, but still happening

 

update: Looks like new spark plugs solved the problem. Swapped them out today and baddabing! Problem solved. I was thinking today (this is what happened to my lawn mower) hard to start after having old gas, it was running rich and it fouled the plug. So I thought, maybe the seafoam caused my Volvo to run too rich and foul a plug or 2.. Correct I was!
