Default volvo 850 wont crank

Back in the spring during a pretty strong storm, I ran my 96 glt wagon across a ditch and slid across a field. I have now replaced the radiator, condenser coil hoses and fan housing. I relined up the fender and am preparing the grill to go back in. I buttoned up the radiator and put some water in it to check for leaks and went to start it and It does everything but spin the motor. Battery charge seems good, the charger tops out with a green light. Im charging a known good battery to swap in later. I noticed that the lights went out when the starter should have came on and didnt. Besides the battery can anyone tell me or not is the immobilizer on. I don't see the led in the center of the dash. Any help is appreciated. I am reading but theres is a lot of material about this problem.
Thanks
Thagorilla

Check to make sure the starter is wired up correctly and you are getting voltage to it when you turn the key.

also make sure the battery is fully charged (and tests out at 12.5 or 12.6 V). Then try locking/unlocking the doors 5x with the key fob (on some models that resets the immobilizer).

I don't have the fob. Only the key. Im going to clean the body connections and try again. Ive had this type situation before battery seems good but a high current load (starter) kills battery it ended up being the body & - connection

I would test the starter with a remote starter switch to isolate whether it's a starter motor issue or wiring/switch issue.
