What does the photo cell do?
Volvo 850
Made from 1993 to 1997, this Volvo line was available in both a wagon and a sedan, both with were graced with several trim levels.

What does the photo cell do?
On the dash, molded into the Alarm system L.E.D. light there is a photo cell...whats its function?

It's the sunlight sensor for the electronic climate control.

Found this in the manual. Still unclear how it plays a role in the ECC. I dont see any difference covered or exposed.
