So if my compression test comes with low numbers, which could mean possibly bad piston rings, could that be the cause of my continuing blow by, even after doing the PCV/PTC system??

I just bought a 1995 850 T-5R and the first thing I did was take a compression test.

Results:
180 all cylinders.

My compression on my 850 T5 with 192K miles is 150,150,150,145,145. I believe the 145 were because the battery started to get tired near the end of the test.

It was after running the motor but nothing added (oil) before the test.

The car was sitting at a home for three years, its beautiful. Fired right up.

nice, good find. One thing I can say I dislike about the Midwest is the lack of cars here, all of the R's are either on the east or west coast, kinda sucks. But I think I may have found a project, more on that tonight.

I KNOW!

don't remind me. I can't wait to live on the East coast where the other half the R's are, since the west coast has the first half.

Heh... that's almost identical to my customer's engine (see cylinder head thread) number 4 has nothing, the other 4 are fine.

Heres my new ride...after de-spidering and hosed off.

I am pulling the engine and trans and putting it in the wagon in the background.
