Sorry if this post isnt about a Volvo but my neighbor is having a problem with his windshield wipers on a 99 saturn POS. When the car is running and he has the wipers on sometimes they wont shut off. Yet when the key is turned to acc mode the wipers work fine, its only when the motor is running. Ive checked all over the net to find the problem and didnt know where else to turn. The stealership quoted him some outrageous prices for parts and he just wants to know what it could be before doing anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as he is a nice older gentleman nd id hate to see him get hosed. Thanks.

 

I would check the wiring under the motor and follow back.. You should be able to unscrew the plastic under the wipers to access all that.

 

Meaning wiper motors,lol.....Sorry for not being clear!
