Wrecked The Yellow One Last Night

RE: Wrecked The Yellow One Last Night
Yes it matched up pretty good, but I have to have some paint work done. Not sure how much yet, but the front fender has some marks on it and that hole behind the Volvo emblem. Plus the rocker panel cover I am getting is black. I want to have the front bumper painted and probably the whole drivers side. There is a crease above the rear wheel well that also came from the accident and I want that fixed. I'm hoping all of this is not much more than $1,000, but the place I want to do it is pretty expensive. If it is over $1,000 I might get some other estimates.

OK here is the latest: Finally seetled with the insurance and got the check for $3,000. Got an estimate from the body shop I want to do the work. Remember I said they are pretty expensive. Well they want $900 to do just the yellow part of the bumper, the trim pieces under the headlights and the fender. If I have the small crease on the rear wheel well fixed and the two doors painted it's $2100. Guy knows me enough and pretty much said they really don't like to do paint work and I should look into taking it to Maaco and getting one of the more expensive paint jobs.
NO WAY IS MY CAR GOING TO MAACO!
Found a guy who restores classic cars and has shop two miles from me. He had some really neat old cars in there that he was working on. A 68 red Baracuda, a 48 Oldsmobile, a 64 Chevy Impala, a 68 Mustang Fastback and several others. I talked to the guy about cars for about an hour. He was about my age and we know more about cars of the 50's and 60's than we do about newer cars. What really impressed me is that he likes GM cars from that era and not Mopar and Ford near as much.
Said he would pretty much do the entire side of the car and the bumper for $675. I am putting my new struts on this weekend and taking the car to him on Monday. Pictures will follow when I get it back.
