Default Yet another cruise control problem

Hello,
I've done a lot of research on this topic, but still can't seem to get my cruise control to work. I've checked the relay (it clicked) and made sure the vacuum pump worked. The tubing seemed okay and I am just out of ideas what to check next. The cruise control buttons just do nothing.. Any suggestions on what to check next?

Hey now Tom,

Have you checked the stalk that the cruise control is on? I've read about this problem, and my cruise is currently out, and this has turned out to be the problem in that the switch has a broken connection in it.

Here's a link that may be of some help to you.

I trying to find the post but I'm not having any luck. This is something that I have to look at and from what I can remember of the procedure it isn't really that hard to remove it.

I'm supposed to pick up a stop lamp switch tomorrow, hoping to fix/turn off my ABS/Tracs light issue, and when I get in there I'll pull my stock [that 't sound like I thought it would :-)] and carefully take it apart to see. I'll try to remember to take some pics if I find it to be the problem.

Let us know if you find a solution.

Rich.

Today I bought myself a set of star key wrenches, but couldn't access the panel covering all the wiring. Any suggestions on how to open it?

remove the screws, and then it still snaps together so you need to pop it apart.
