Default 2009 C30 Winter Tire Advice

Hello, I'm brand new to this forum (any forums, actually) so I apologize in advance for stupidity. I live in western Mass and must be to work early, often before the roads are plowed. I want to buy winter tires for the C30 and am looking for advice as I have no clue. I'd like to get them next weekend (tax-free in Mass.) Any recommendations?

Thanks.

I'm curious what tires you went with. I've used Blizzaks on many makes and find them good in snow/slush up here in Vermont. Studs are best on ice, but I don't like what they do to the roads. Also, did you use spare rims w/o or w/TPMS? I've got tires & rims, just not sure what to do about TPMS sensors. I didn't bother with them on my wife's Accord; just put black tape over the light.

I bought 4 studded Arctic Claws, matte black rims. Car looks pretty in summer, mean in winter
Last winter the tires worked perfectly, great traction, never let me down. Sensors didn't like them - I simply ignored the messages.
Good luck with yours!
