Help pricing my C30
try using KBB.COM and price it for private party sale. You can add in your options and see the "excellent condition" price. Their system is geography aware so you can price for your zip code. After that, I'd go shopping on Autotrader for other cars with similar year/mileage/condition. Your price should be slightly less than the full service dealers, probably a bit more than wholesalers.
yeah trading in a nice car is not always the best option. you really need to price the new car without trade in then see what you'd get for the trade in to see if its really a good deal. BTW, what year is the C30 and what market are you in (ie nearest big city)?
I'm not planning to sell my 2009 C30 any time soon, but I do keep an eye on its "value" from time to time. I usually go to cars.com and a couple of other sales sites to look for:
So, I would find the couple of most recent sales that reflect your model year and trim package (as best you can find), then give yourself a little bonus for low mileage.
- Current sales, but more importantly,
- Recent closed sales.

I sold mine for 8950.00 the rip offs at the volvo dealer offered me 4k as did "we buy any cars"
