2000 C70 starting issue.
Hi folks. Newbie here. I have a 2000 C70 that turns over slower than it should. The battery is good. All this started about 2 months ago. I decided to have the timing belt ,and oil trap (PCV system) replaced. It was fine for about two weeks then got hard to start. We let it set for a bit ,and it would start. It did that for about a week ,and then wouldn't start at all. I suspected timing issue ,but all the marks line up. The only possible issue I saw was the tensioner. I reset that ,but didn't help. It turns over slowly almost like a weak battery ,but the battery is good. Any ideas ?
Thanks all !
Thanks all !

Have you taken the vehicle to Autozone or Advanced Auto, O'Rieley's to have complete starting system checked for free? Has the starter been checked? Have electrical cables and connector terminals been cleaned and checked between battery and starter? Just a few suggestions that some forget. You may have completed these checks. JMHO.

Did you try a jump start or putting a charger on the battery? If your battery is not a sealed unit, try popping off the water fill caps - if you can see the lead fins, you have a dry cell and you can fill it with distilled water (NOT tap water or deionized as they still contain some minerals). Sounds like a weak battery or you need to clean up the terminals/cables as MSGTUSMC noted. Also check the ground strap (ie the negative terminal cable).
