Default BRake Control Module Remival

The brake control module on my C 70 is right up against the firewall in the back behind the battery of the car. Has anybody had experience removing this from the car? I have had it to a few mechanics I can’t figure out how to get it off of the car!

Take the battery out, take the whole abs unit out of the car (undoing all of the brake lines) - then take the control unit off. Better have a good pressure brake bleeder after you put it back together!

The car is a 2008 model with 73,000 miles on it.
I get fault codes CEM-E000 communication with control module faulty, BCM-0148 Communication between control units wrong configuration ID, EPS-0080 Steering angle sensor faulty signal.
They all point to the Brake Control model or the wiring to it.
Any other ideas?

Is there a bolt that holds or connects the unit on the back firewall?
I have checked all of the fuses, the wiring, the connections and have found no problems.

I don't see the brake control unit listed as a possible source for any of those codes. What are you basing your diagnosis on? You might could talk with xemodex - they might talk you out of replacing the wrong part. If those are codes from VIDA - click on the codes to get diagnostic information.

1. cem - e000

2. bcm 0148

3. eps 0080
