Default C70 Alarm?

Does the C70 have a factory alarm? My Old jetta had one. And when u locked the doors the horn sounded to tell you that the theft deterrent system was armed. But the C70 hasn't done that. So I don't know if it is armed. Not to mention if there is even one in there!

c70 has an alarm. The horn does not sound when armed but the parking lights will flash and in the centre of the dash near the windscreen a red LED will wink every second to let you and "others" know that the alarm is armed.

Well then I have another problem. When I click on the panic button on the remote. It doesn't alarm! Unless the red button isn't a panic button.

Yes, everything else works. When I press the unlock button the driver side unlocks. Press it twice, both doors unlock. The trunk button works as well. But the panic does not. Is there something I'm missing?

Not sure here is a way to make sure the Alarm works.

With the Drivers side window open Lock the car. Give it about 2 minutes then reach in and pull the Hood release and see if the alarm goes off.

I think the problem is my remote's battery is dying. Cuz everytime I try and unlock the trunk I gotta double click it. And when I finally got the remote to work, I had to hold it down. So I'll try that. Thanks Tech

You have to "double click" the trunk button on the remote to operate the release mechanism.
