Default c70 chime won't stop

I just purchased a 2001 c70, and w/in 2 weeks the courtesy chime will not stop, and the interior lights no longer work, the drivers side window control won't work(all others on the panel still work), and the passenger side window goes down fine, but not all the way up when the door is closed. If you open the door the window will go up no problem. If you use the control to put down the windows all at once no problem, use it to put them up they go up no problem but then the passenger door won't open. What did I get my self into!?

Default C-70 chime

By any chance, is your C-70 a convertible? I have the same issue with mine on occasion. On my car, the constant chiming is due to issues with the convertible top. Generally, if I pull over, put the roof down and back up again, the chime goes away. In my case, the chime is a warning that the top isn't locked down properly (which is annoying, because I ALWAYS hold the switch until the cycle completes and the confirmation chime sounds)

Default

It is a convertible. I putting it up & down 3 times today and still chiming, plus the interior lights still don't work. Thanks for your response. I'm wondering if it's a combo between the passenger door and top?

Default c70 convertible top and chiming problem

My 2004 c70's top would not go up. No light on top control switch ....nothing.
Had to follow directions and use manual instructions to close top. Got the top up, but was not very easy to do in the dark. Fuses good so took to Volvo.
Told that the top (hood) control module was bad. $1700 for bosch module and $200 install. Did not have them do the work, but got the part # and called around internet. Contacted Volvo & Saab Auto Dismantlers in Rancho Cordova, Ca. and they had a used part with 100 day guarantee for $150 + $15 shipping. Very easy part to switch out. Located behind pass. side, trunk side carpeting panel next to gas filler inlet.. Three #10 mm bolts and 4 plugs and I thought I would be in business. Unfortunately, top did not work. Started to drive back to volvo and the top switch light was flashing and the chime was going off. It was only flashing and chiming when moving. Remembered that I manually closed the top and decided to go back through closing instructions. Inserted the supplied tool again and locked top down properly. Top works great.
I think the module was blown out when a surge was caused by a rock through my pass. headlight assembly. Bought replacement headlight ***.
used for $125 instead of Volvo $340. Good luck all. You have always been a great help.
