I'm looking at a 2008 C70 with 44785 miles
As owners of this great looking car would you give my your opinion regarding purchasing this car? The asking price is $24,995. Is that about right for this year/milage? Thanks.

 

An awful lot of miles for being three years old. Edmund's says the asking price is pretty close to the value, for what that is worth.

Have an independent mechanic check over the car carefully. At those miles you may not get much of a warranty.

 

When doing a price evaluation, I use www.carguru.com. For 2008 C70s from all over the US, the result for a comparison is 2008 Volvo C70 For Sale North Attleboro, MA - CarGurus. The link doesn't appear to have worked exactly right. If you have to, enter the car manufacturer, model, same begin year and end year and unlimited distance. Any "compare" for a given available car will show the regression of price versus mileage.
I think I found the car you are looking at in Danbury, CT. The curve would indicate the price is good relative to a regression of the available cars; i.e., $3,005 below the line at that mileage.

Just a FYI I have a 2007 C70 and have 115k miles on it. Outside of some early issues (warranty) with top (clips) it has been fine. I have only replaced rear brakes and drives it like new. I look to get over 200k on the car. I have the top down most the time. I would say that any issues you might have with car probably got worked out early. I do know the 2006 models had a lot of problems, the 2007 had a few problems and I would think the 2008 most the bugs were worked out.
