C70 recall
I have a 2008 C70 D5 sport manual. Just before christmas I recieved a letter stating the clutch master cylinder should be replaced, apparently there was a scenario where the linkage could come undone rendering the clutch useless.
When i took the car in volvo said the water pump should be replaced as a recall as it was found some were leaking
Bo the jobs were done but apparently the water pump fluid has leaked over a number of connectors and now the ECU unit needs to be replaced
The car is out of warrenty and all the work is being paid for by volvo as a recall
Has anyone else had their car recalled and what were their experiences. Also should i expect any problems having the ECU replaced

As long as the dealer performs the work, your service report documents and the dealers database will record the recall service. The report will document any warranty for the work and your VIN will be recorded as completed recall vehicle for all dealers to view. I have never had a problem with recall work done @ one dealer & gone to another dealer months or longer later on any vehicle in the last 40 yrs, where the dealership didn't honor recall work on any vehicle.
