Alright im thinking about geting a c70 or a E36 body style m3. Its hard for me to find a c70 thats manual thats kind of why im leaning twards the bmw, but at the same time all the m3 in my price range have high miles ( looking to spend about 11,500 ). My question is are bouth the 2.3 and 2.4s turboed? i used to have an 850 and i know in the 850s the 2.4 is the non-turbo and the 2.3 is the turbo. currently i have a 2000 turbo galant that i did a custom turbo kit to so now im leaning more towards a car that has a turbo and upgrading it from there. And also what turbo is on the C70 and if its not a ball-bearing is there a ball-bearing turbo that witll fit on the stock manifold? and if anyone is intrested in the galant im selling it for 8,000 obo.

 

All C70's had a turbo in them.

 

AS long as He is in the U.S. market all of them are turbo.
Outside the U.S. there was some C70's avalible in Non-turbo.

 

If you are looking at an e-36, you had better put it on the rack and check the rear sub frame!!! They are very prone to ripping the mounts. BMW refused to recall them. A M-3 is twice the problem! If you are going to get a high milage e-36 that has been "driven" I'll almost bet you that the floor is ripping. With that said, a BMW is absolutely the Ultimate Driving Machine but the e-36 had problems. Now............find a e-30 M-3 and you have a pretty neat auto other than when the engine goes, it's big bucks. The e-30 was and is the only M-3 that was built to race, the subsequent iterations simply have parts bolted to an Is chassis. Of course the only parts that are shared with a regular e-30 are the doors and so body parts to include the rear light are very expensive along with the brakes, steering, rear end...............you get the picture.

I also thought there was no non turbo C70, I know there aren't in Oz.
