Convert from xenon to halogen
My recently purchased 2008 C70 msg read "Low Beam Failure" (passenger side). My otherwise very talented mechanic couldn't figure it out, and after reading posts re xenon lights on this forum, I think my best option (i.e., possibly least expensive) is to convert both sides to aftermarket halogen assembly. My question is - Is the connector to the headlight assembly the same?
I didn't mention that the low beam actually was out. My mechanic had discovered fried wires that were crossed, so he recoated, shrink wrapped, etc. No help. After reading more in this forum, I'm now guessing that the ballast had failed and there was too much juice to the wires. Does that make sense? My familiarity with ballasts is limited to tubular flourescent lighting.
