Where? Oh, Where? is the automatic transmission dip stick on a 2004 C70?

 

Facing the engine remove/ move the large black hose that is over the engine, down at the very bottom is a little yellow dipstick. There is a metal clip that holds the stick in place. It is almost impossible to get both hands down there to move the clip and be able to pull the stick out. Push a screwdriver to move the clip over, then pull out the stick.

 

Yes, it really is down there. But, totally inaccessible. Only way to reach it is to remove the battery and move a wiring harness. Which presents a complication -- there's no way to check the fluid level with the car running.
