Default Dont know when timing belt was last replaced?

Bought a used 2002 C70 coupe about year ago and I'm afraid it's time to replace the timing belt. Purchased it with around 98,000 miles on it and it now has around 100,500 miles. Problem is, I have no idea when was the last time the timing belt was replaced or if it was EVER replaced. I haven't had any major problems with it so far. Had the brakes and tires replaced a year ago and its driving pretty good. Should I just replace the timing belt just to be safe or this there anyway I can find out if its time?

I would replace it.

The belt is due at 105,000 miles or 10 years. So if there is no sticker in the engine bay for replacement and no sign of someone adding marks to the pulleys (not everyone does this since there are marks there already, but some indy shops mark the marks with a paint pen to make them easier to see), then I wouldn't risk it.

Do the belt. If it breaks, you'll end up junking the car. I had mine done a few years ago. I shopped around on Craig's list and got it done for about $600
