Default flasher....

hey guys,

I need some advice. My turn signal quit working. Talking to the dealership they said it could be two things. Either the flasher relay behind the hazard light or the control switch near the steering column. The guy said its a 50/50 chance if I was to just start switching parts. I am not convinced and am hoping its the hazard switch relay. Please let me know.

Thanks,
AKG

If the blinker won't work try pressing the hazard switch on and off and see if it makes it work. If it does the hazard switch is bad.

Not really when it won't come on leak it on the on position. Turn the hazards on and off then of the blinker starts working when the hazard switch is turned off then it is the hazard switch.

If it is the turn signal switch the top cover on the steering column pops up. Then remove it. Next remove the t-25 screws from the lower cover and slide it out. Then there is 2 screws holding the turn signal switch to the column.

That should work as far as I know. Cannot look up right now the part #'s between the 2 years to be 100% sure.

I would not say it is bad for the car. It is more like how long will it last?
