Default HELP!! C70 T5 ENGINE FAULT

Hi all, can any one try and give me a hand with this long term problem im having:- Ive a c70 t5 coupe yr 2000 ivehad it on volvo diagnostic computer 4 times now the only fault that came up was the MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR . The problem i have is very poor starting missing and very lumpy for 5 mins first time start on morning, My plugs are black sootyi have flat spots on the throttle and very poor boosting it will rev over to 4000rpm and thats about it no more .it also feels nowthat the engine istrying to cut out the rev counter jumps to around 0.5 rpm then back up to 1000 rpm the engine doesnt sound very sweet when i accelerate all i hear is adeep roarpnoise as if the air meter or throttle plate is fully opening and the sound you get from a massive K&N .I have recently had it back on the computer and result once again NO FAULTS.Now this i believe is important since changing the mass air flow sensor it has got worst i never had such bad problems beforei changed it .But when the part arrived it is NOT A BOSCH PART could this be still the problem as the ecu cannot map around i differnt brand

Any suggestions would be appriecated thanks mik./

Your injectors may be the culprits. Do you use 'sub par' fuel?

You could have a bad vaccum leak. Is all the intercooler hoses it good condition?
Have you had the throttle body software downloaded into the car yet? (the recall software)

I have exactly the same problem with my V70 T5 MkII. It usually happens when the weather has been coldor if the car has been sitting overnight and been subject to low temperatures. The only way I can get over it is when starting torev to 2-3000rpm leave it there for 5 seconds and then bring it back down slowly. This then solves the problem although I don't know why it started doing it. I thought that it could be an oxygen or temperature sensor causing over fuelling and have not heard about the recall software for the electronic throttle module. Could you give some more information on that please?

Thanks,

Oliver
