Default How to change heater core hoses (from firewall to engine block)

Hi all. I have a 2000 C70 and have a leak from the hoses that go from the engine block to the heater core. Any ideas/hints/tricks on how to go about removing the old hoses and installing new ones?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi All, Looking for help, I have had a heater hose burst yesterday and I'm in the middle of replacing it. I don't want to force the connector (shown in the picture). Do I need a special tool to hold back the yellow ring or will a good pliers work? Appreciate any help on this.

Regards

Scott

Great Thanks 'Kiss4afrog' I wasn't squeezing I was pushing the yellow clip in... I might have got a hint from the new hoses but didn't buy the clips so maybe not...! Either way thank you so much for replying Hopefully I can get my car back home tomorrow after I receive my new heater hoses!!

Thanks again
