Post I hate car trouble.

Just got my 2000 c70 back from the dealer service day before yesterday. I spent $2500 to fix the turbocharger that broke on Saturday and the timing belt that was going to break and ruin my engine if I didn't change it RIGHT NOW! I need my AC compressor replaced but I couldn't afford to, it works but the clutch sticks and blows hot air when i accelerate. Any way, I drove to work twice and on my way home today the car started making the whirring sound again and wouldn't go just like Saturday. I have to have it towed in again, rent a car while they fix it and probably pay more money. Is my car even worth all this? They say I have sludge in my oil and want $1700 to take it apart and fix it. not to mention the $ 1200 they want for a compressor. I feel so damn helpless when I have to deal with these service advisers. I just got the darn car paid for in April and now all this.

You seriously need to find another place for service work. 2500$ is pretty pricey for the replacement of those 2 items.

Find a Volvo specialist (Not a Dealer) and have them look at it.

i agree, but i would buy some snap-on tools, do some research, find a u-pull-n-pay and DIY! i bet you'll have alot of bread left to send you own kids to college

i hate going to the dealer for anything unless it's parts.

+1....STOP going to the dealer. That 2500 bucks paid for the fancy waiting room at the dealer. Def. find someone who is independent and works on Volvo. You will pay a fraction of money or do it your self! Also use this website for parts! http://www.fcpgroton.com/
