Right, first off I appreciate that I am a new user here, posting on behalf of my brother (not sure if he is a member or not) anyway he has a 1999 C70 T4, bit of a problem with it, the battery has gone flat, no problem I went out and I have bought him a new battery as he needs to get to Birmingham tonight, get back now set about putting his battery on, and I can't get in, a quick google shows that I need to remove the front grill to get in, and of course there is no instructions on how to remove said grill.

So the problem I have
I can't jack the car up as it is parked nose first into the garage door leaving minimal space, it is snowing and the angle off the drive wouldn't allow for safe jacking and lying underneath it, and it's cold, ain't no way I am lying on the floor.

So, could someone be so kind as to tell me how I can "break" into the car or at least get the bonnet up, again I do appreciate I am new member and this may look really dodgy, but we're kinda stuck and as the car has just had a full respray I don't want to mangle the body work, so it would be appreciated if someone could PM me asap so I can swap his battery for a new one

Thanks in advance

I can't even get to the cable, I have managed to pop the drivers side indicator out now and think I can see the cable, but the battery is flat so I can't open the door going to give it a go now on what I think the bonnet release cable is

Why can't you open the drivers door? Is the key locked in the car to?

no the battery is flat, the key doesn't do anything in either the door lock or the boot lock

Oh wow that sucks someone must have changed the locks!!!
You are really in a jam here. I think the only way now would be from under the car.
This post is for a very close setup to what the C70 has you can read through it for ideas.

Can't get under it because the radiator etc is in the way, I think I may have found the solution, need to go and hunt down some TIG wire
