Default Mystery

(2000 C70 Convertible) I'd appreciate any help/ideas that you can provide with this problem.....one day my car wouldn't start but the dash lights were on. It was obvious it was a battery thing and maybe I had just left a light on or something. A quick jump and I'm good. The car started fine later in the day. The next morning the same scenario. Then the next AM everything was dead (radio code needed etc). I figured it was time for a new battery (I've owned the car to less then two years and it was a volvo battery but there was no way to tell how old it was).

Got a new battery and everything was fine...for about 10 days...then the similar scenario happen. In the AM the car doesn't start but the lights are working -- jump it an things are fine for the rest of the day. Then AM and everything is dead. (So I might not have needed a new battery!)

Obivously something is taking the juice out of my battery but I have no idea what it might be. Thanks for your help.

The sunvisor might be broke and the wires touching keeping the light on and killing the battery.

I'll check to see if one of the sunvisor lights are staying on and check back in.

Tech -- I think you're right! THe visor is messed up on one end and the light is goes on and off on it own depending on what position it's in. What's the best way to take car of this problem? Is there a separate fuse for the visor lights that I can take out until the visor is replaced/fixed. Thanks!

I don't remember a fuse for it. I think you will need to remove it and unplug it.
Remove the 2 screws and pull it down and unplug it.
