I just purchased a 2001 Volco C70
The woodgrain laminate was cracking around the gear shift and I went ahead and removed it.

Where on this forum would I look to see if anyone had a replacement piece for this- Im not really picky about the color matching exactly (woodgrain) if the price was right.

If you know very well on gear shift, then I would like to say that you should have to adjust your gear shift and also use override button. You could also take advice by good auto mechanic person.

 

Where are you located? I pulled some of the wood trim from the dash on a '98 C70 in a wrecking yard close to me. I couldn't get the panel around the radio, so I left all the pieces in the car. If you're close enough to Seattle, I could go back and grab that piece for you, probably wouldn't be more than $10 or so, plus shipping.

 

The piece around the radio is part of the entire dash.
