I bought a used keyless remote off eBay. Is it possible for me to program it to work with my 2000 c70 coupe? I've tried the 5 key switches but I think I'm doing it incorrectly. Can someone guide me or confirm the on/off 5 times works with my car? Thanks!

 

No it does not work, 99+ will require a dealer visit. If you bought a new remote and not a used one it could be programmed by them. Good luck.

 

Actually the dealer can reprogram a used unit and so don't toss them. It is not inexpensive.

How much did you pay? I'm looking for just the case of the remote and ads on line all say worn. Was yours in good condition?

 

The remote that came with the car had a broken loop (the part you would attach to the key ring). I bought replacement plastic for that off of Ebay for around $24 and it fits great. The used remote I bought off of Ebay for a 2nd remote was used but in good shape.

 

I bought a used remote off of Ebay for around $30. It cost $106 for the dealership to program it. I also only had 1 key to the car. They made the first key for $170 but made a 2nd key for another $70. $270 later I have 3 keys and 2 remotes that work with the car.
