Shift Lock
I have a 2001 C70 vert,auto trans.To shift out of Park I have to push the shift lock button on the console about 95% of the time.Is there a switch that is easily accessible that I could replace to fix this? thanks

The switch at the brake pedal should do it. You may have a sticky solenoid at the shifter or open circuit from the brake switch.
Makes you wonder why Volvo put an override switch there in the first place.

ED7 Thanks for the reply .Would you happen to know a part number for this switch,I can't seem to locate it ,would it be under brakes or electrical? I keep coming up empty where ever I go. thanks
