smaller wheel / snow tire combos
I have a 2004 C70 manual - have enjoyed it for about 3 years now. I was looking at Tire rack's snow tire / wheel combos and curious about their recommendation that I would buy these in a smaller wheel diameter (15 or 16 inch) and more narrow than the 17 inch OEM wheels I have on the car.
Does anyone do this on the C70 and if so, does it make the cowl shake and front end issues any worse? I'm generally okay with the current state - I have the OEM strut brace and that improved things quite a bit when I got it.
I live in Cincinnati, so I can usually get away without true snow tires in most years. However, I drive 50 miles on I-75 each day and the March potholes and occasional ice/snow mix in the winter are making me think again about getting dedicated snow tires. Thanks for your recommendations...
