Hi,

I recently bought a 2001 volvo c70 ht coupe and the SRS light is on. I took it to an independent shop that specialize in volvo and ran diagnostic. They told me there is a problem with the cord that is connected to the side airbag in the seat. They quoted me $600 in parts and $200 in labor. At the moment I dont have the budget for that so I am going tohold it off,I want to know if my front airbag still works if I get into a car accident?

I was always told no they won't work when the light is on. The system is bypassed.
The ABS is the same way.
