The C70 has two sockets for tail lights on each side. One of them seems broken. Can I ignore this and continue driving with one light bulb or will this cause this bulb to get overloaded and break more rapidly?
The warning message on my dashboard only appeared after both light bulbs were broken and is gone now that I have one of them working again.

If there's an easy way to fix the socket I could try that but if it involves welding I would have to go to a garage.

 

The bulb holder is available as a separate part for all years of the c70 - this is for the early soft top cars. What year is your car?
