Default Positioning Light

I started my car this evening and got a "message" in the message window of my 2003 S60 2.4 non-turbo that said, "LIGHTING MALFUNCTION POSITIONING LIGHT" So, I assumed a bulb was out. I checked every bulb that I could think of and none were out. I drove my car about 5 or so minutes and the message disappeared and never returned. Even after I restarted after shopping.

I guess my questions, if anyone can answer them, are:

1.) If the light went out, is the error gone and it was probably an intermittent short?

2.) Which bulb is the POSITIONING LIGHT?

Thanks in advance.

The position light is one of the tail lights.

Just remember that you have 4 tail light bulbs and it is often hard to tell which light is out just by looking at them. If you open the trunk and un-clip the tail light with the lights on you will be able to see which bulb is burnt out.

Thanks everyone for the tips. Someone rear ended me so I am getting a new taillight assembly (good news/bad news) so I am not sure which light it ever was.
