Hello I really need some help, so hopefully someone will be willing to help. I have a 2000 c70 with the 2.3 engine and an automatic transmission. I was replacing the timing belt on it and the crankshaft rotated. Thus I lost my timing mark. I have tried to slowly rotate the crankshaft clock wise until I see it again. Well on the first rotation everything is going smooth until I hit what I assume is top dead ceneter. This one was a little harder to rotate through. Then I was on my second rotation about half way through I hit a hard area, and can't get it to rotate through it. I can get it to go slowly in counter clock wise to the top dead center. I don't want to force it though because I don't want to damage anything.

 

Put #1 piston @ TDC. There are youtube videos on this.
