Default Tune up info

Hi I just bought my first Volvo, a 2011 C70 T5 and looking to do a tune-up as I do not have any service info on it. It has aprox 85,000 on it.

Does anyone have a suggestion on spark plugs? Iridium or not? Lazer iridium? Volvo brand, Bosch, Denso?
How often should you replace the coils?
I was told it has a new timing belt, so hopefully that's true but will still check it out.
If you have iany pointers on maintenance all information is welcome as I want to learn how to care for my car correctly. You just can't depend on the auto parts stores for correct info as each store and even each sales person tends to tell you something different as to what your car calls for.
So I'm asking the experts, you all who actually own and maintain the same vehicle. Thanks for any tips / pointers.

First thing I'd do is download the maintenance manual from the Volvo web site https://www.volvocars.com/us/own/own...owners-manuals so you can see the standard maintenance intervals.

Spark plugs typically get changed at 60K miles. Best thing to do is use Genuine Volvo. More expensive does not mean they are a better match for your specific car. Also should you install new plugs to baseline the tune, make sure to check the gap - not all plugs match your engine's spec out of the box.

Regarding coils, most coil packs last well over 100K miles and generally get replaced when they fail, not at an interval and not as a set.

Timing belt intervals vary by engine. here's a link to the Volvo tech bulletin:

https://www.volvotechinfo.com/index....ltInterval.pdf

You can find your engine code on a sticker (usually on the timing belt cover - should be something like B5254T7 (b= gas, 5 cylinder, 2.5 L displacement, 4 valves per cylinder, 7th Gen turbo ). Most T5s have a 120K or 10 year interval (whichever comes first) with a new idler and tensioner.

Tips on maintenance: 1) Follow the factory recommended intervals 2) keep clean fluids per a schedule ie brake flushes every 2 years, power steering (I use a turkey baster to suck out the reservoir and refill, run the car with a few lock to lock turns, then repeat until the fluid looks good. Usually takes a quart, a good $7 investment), anti-freeze typically should be done at least every 5 years with a deionized fresh water flush, transmission fluid can do a drain fill. I do 100K intervals some suggest 50K (factory doesn't have a spec for the most part). Dealers will do a drain fill or a complete flush (overkill IMHO) noting draining only gets 60% out so if you do 2 or 3 drain/fills you're 80-90% clean. 3) inspect the car regularly - whether you do it or you have a shop doing as part of your servicing. Look for leaks/staining, torn axle boots, brake rotor wear/grooves, torn or loose hoses, cracks or gaps in rubber bushings 4) get regular wheel alignments (most shops inspect suspension as part of this). I own a VW CC and they are notorious tire eaters, so I get an alignment 2x a year 5) listen to your car. Does it sound right/feel right? If something changes, check it out.
