when you say Valvolines (which is a name brand for oils/fluids) do you mean engine oil or transmission fluid?
The JWS3309 refers to the spec for your transmission fluid - so that's what you want to use as it is the viscosity standard for your transmission. This can be found in both synthetic and traditional. Note many Toyotas also use JWS3309 so its pretty easy to find. Many people have used Toyota brand to get a good price, or you can shop for a name brand (ie Mobil 3309 or the Toyota T-IV are most common) but Amsoil and Castrol also market products to name a few. Aisin also markets a 3309 product but I've read its just relabeled Mobil 3309.
