Just purchased Certified Pre-Owned 2021 XC60 Recharge. Charging cable seemed to work for a short period of time, but over the past few days, any time we plug it in, we get messages from the app saying the charging has stopped or was interrupted. Rarely goes further than two hours or so before charging stops.

Any way to address this?

I did plug in at a local grocery store and the charging did seem to work for the 45 minutes to an hour I was shopping - no issues. So, possibly an issue with my charging cable? But there would be no charging at all if the cable was not working, right?

 

I had a 2021 XC 60 recharge and that did happen to me one time about a year ago. I believe it was because there was a power interruption. I always try to make sure I unplugged my cables whenever we have storms so I'm not charging. It only did happen once. I now have a 2024 XC 60 recharge and it operates exactly the same way and so far have had absolutely no issues with the cable light turning red. Sorry can't be more help than that

 

Thanks youout. Appreciate the response. Trying to avoid all sorts of electrical work at my house or dropping yet more dough on a new charging cord. From our testing, has to be one of those two things as everything else has been eliminated. We see the car take a charge just fine away from home.

 

What Youout said. Also the manual does say you should not plug the car in during electrical storms. And I also had a '21 XC60 T8 and about a month ago, I got a '24 model.
Also, whenever you have a charging issue, try unplugging the car, then switch the breaker your charger is on, off and then on again. That usually fixes most issues.
