I would like to see if anyone else has experienced a problem like this. I no longer own this car.
I brought it to the dealership several times for wind noise. It was a 2021 XC 60 recharge. It was manufactured in the last quarter of 2020. I'm showing you a picture of the insulation material that was used around the door on the passenger rear door. Does anyone out there with a 2021 have this type of material being used?
My guess is that the manufacturer ran out of the material needed because of shortages within the supply chain as of COVID. A different material was used. I have looked at 2021 XC 60s on the dealer's lot and none of them had this material. If you are experiencing wind noise this might be part of the problem.
To confirm I have now sold the 2021 XC 60 recharge and replaced it with a 2024 XC 60 recharge. The in
sulating material around the door on the 2024 is totally different and very common to what you would see on cars in general. And yes there's no wind noise.
