XC60 Charging Cable Adaptor
My 2023 XC 60 recharge included a 6-20 adaptor with the charging cable. Since I have a NEMA 14-50 (240v) outlet installed in my garage, I contacted my local dealer and was informed that Volvo does not make a 14-50 adaptor. Rather than replace the 14-50 outlet with a 6-20 outlet can I simply use a NEMA 6-20 R to 15-50P adaptor available on Amazon to allow me to use the Volvo 16 amp cable on a 14-50 amp outlet?
If so, which brand adaptor is recommended?
Are there any downsides to this approach?

Please just be careful with Amperage ratings. If the circuit currently has a 50A breaker, you either need to replace the breaker with a 20A to match the outlet or buy an adapter that's rated at 50A. Otherwise you have a potential hazard where the circuit could potentially draw more through the outlet or adapter than they are rated to handle.
I did take a brief look at Amazon and saw some adapter cables which were 50A rated.
