kick down cable

Default kick down cable

my kick down cable seems to be adjusted all of the way. still not kicking down problerly...

do i need a new cable or is there a tick way to fix.

how hard is it to instal and adjust a new cable...

What do you mean not working properly? Have you checked your fluid level? It can e fairly tough to replace the whole cable. You can buy a barrel from a bike shop to make a custom length cable.

first thank you for your help

you said "You can buy a barrel from a bike shop to make a custom length cable" can you give me more information...I am almost sure somingting like that would work for me....

trans fluid was changed about 3500 miles ago....

But without the hex head on it. Just go to a good bike shop, tell them that you want to make a custom length cable but you can't remove the brake cable then go to a lever on a bike and point to the barrell in the lever and say, Do you have something like this with a set screw in it so I can move it up and down the cable?
