I'd like to install HIDs to my 2002 S40. However, I have read some things about daytime running lights causing issues.

Has anyone installed an HID conversion kit on their S40, and how are things now?
If not HIDs, then can anyone recommend other halogen bulbs?

You can try to have Volvo deactivate your DRL's, good luck getting them to do this now.

However HID's can be used and many do use them. You just need some extra wires that don't come with an HID kit. Bulb Out Warning Cancellers.
