When I bought the car the right-rear door didn't lock or unlock from the remote or buttons on the doors, I had to pull the handle to unlock it. I was okay with that since I don't use that door that often. But now it happened to my driver's door which is extremely annoying because I have to pull the key out from the big plastic key every time I want to get in my car.

Anyone experienced this and know what the problem is?

 

This is an interesting issue. It is probably an issue with the control unit. Not sure how you would check it though. You may need to take it to Volvo for this one.

 

I talked to my mechanic and after looking at diagrams it looks like the control module for the door is the issue. But I dont wanna buy it without knowing that it will fix it.
