This isn't the easiest to word out but here goes.

My Gear Shifter lately feels a bit 'loose' going from Park to Drive, not a lot but I remember it being a bit firmer along the way down. More recently, particularly in the mornings I'll occasionally drop the shifter to D, but car stays in/displays N so I'll go back to N then to D and voila, fine. Doesn't always happen. Yesterday I went to D and the display flipped N-D-N-D as if it's not all the way in D, so I repeated the above going back to N then D, again fine.

Once it's in D I have no issues, and I never have an issue coming out of D to P or switching D-M once in D. It's as if something is slightly loose or out of alignment.

No codes, lights or performance issues or anything like that.

Is there something that can be reset/tightened/adjusted or is something shot?

Gearbox is definitely not my forte.
