I cant find out how to remove the Shifter ****. As you can see the shift button is starting to fall to pieces

 

It just pulls off. But you need to pull hard to get it to come off.
But before you just pull it off where the boot meets the **** twist the boot to unlock it and push the boot down. This way you will not mess the boot up by pulling it with the ****.
