i think my starter is going out...
some times the engine cranks right up... but lately it sounds like the typical "horror movie scene, when the bad guy is getting close and the victim is trying to start the car.... *you know the whir, whir, whir, and then its starts, right before the bad guy gets you....

lately it sounds like the starter gets stuck midway thru the start sequence.... *cant explain the noise... i can only say it sounds mechanical... and it'll take a few tries to get it to crank... once its on.... it runs like a champ...
could there be another cause for this?
