Default 2001 S40: Clogged PCV system pushed intake cam seal out

2001 S40-

The car developed a substantial oil leak. I discovered the seal behind the intake cam gear was pushed out on the one side. I was able to push the seal back in place with my fingers. I removed the PCV box and found it and the ports to the engine block to be clogged. So I’m replacing the box and hoses.

My question is, with the PCV system working properly and with proper vacuum. Will the cam seal be suctioned securely in place and stop the oil leak or should I replace the seal?

Also should I replace this hose: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/vol...40-v40-8653327
Does the banjo fitting get clogged? Can you just clean it?

I'd think you should be able to clean the fittings. On the 850s, the ports into the block would also get clogged so once you have the hoses off, you want to make sure those ports are clean as well - ie "rod out" and clean. Other posters have recommended doing a seafoam treatment prior and dropping the oil pan to really make sure all is clean. As to replacing the hose - considering all the work is getting access to the tubing I'd replace it - but I understand your question as it is an expensive part so worst case is I'd inspect it really well if considering keeping it. You may want to price it out at Tasca Parts to see if there's a better quote there. As to pressing in the seals vs replacing - if you can press them in - why not see if that fixes it? If it doesn't you can replace at that time.
