i got a 2001 s40 that doesnt start. if i put the gas to the floor it starts but it runs rough. i let off the gas and it dies. i dont now much about volvos so any help would be nice.

 

Is the check engine light on?

This could be a few different things...you'd want to probably get the car looked at, to at least give you an idea of what the problem(s) is/are.


Fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, blocked exhaust, poor intake breathing, idle stabilization...

 

how many miles are on the car? When was the last tune up? A little more details...
