2001 S40 front bumber splitter
I have a 2001 S40 "Sport Lux", Phase II , With its previous owners it must have had a bump on the front as I can tell that the front bumber has been replaced at some point, however they did not put the original lower splitter back on (3 part one), anyway I've been able to get one off eBay and I'm trying to attach it.
The bumper has the correct number of holes in it at the bottom and they seem to align ok. However, there is a big black plastic under tray currently attached to the underside of the bumper that seem to get in the way of the splitter, does any one have a pic of the bumper with the spliiter on that I could take a look at?? Close up under side would be great. I think the undertray might not be the original one for my bumber?
any help would be great!
Thanks

RE: 2001 S40 front bumber splitter
ORIGINAL: tech
The splitter should go under the lower cover. You should have to remove the lower cover and then reinstall. The holes for the splitter should match up with the ones for the cover.

RE: 2001 S40 front bumber splitter
The black molding at the bottom of the bumper goes about 45cm back under the engine, it has a little lip on it when viewed from the front. You can see the holes where the new splitter goes
So I guess I have to take this off first put the splitter on
Do you know if there are any diagrams on the web that would be helpful?
